Alongside AdvisorsPrivate Advisory

One person who holds the whole picture.

Private Advisory is the service the others sit inside. A Lead Advisor learns the situation, writes one plan for it, brings in the right people and stays with the client and the family through every transition.

What it includes

What a Lead Advisor does.

01/The first conversation

A private call, usually the same day. What is happening, what has been tried, what the family is hoping for, and the questions no program asks: work, children, money, where the person will live.

02/One written plan

The treatment path, the clinicians already involved or still needed, the family's role, travel, timing and cost, in one document that says who does what and in what order.

03/The right people, in the right order

An interventionist, a program, a therapist, a companion, a transport Advisor. We arrange each piece, confirm it and stay on the call until it happens.

04/A constant through every handoff

Admission, discharge, a move between levels of care, a return to work. The same Advisor is present, so nothing is handed to a stranger and nothing is lost between providers.

Who it is for

Who it is for.

  • Families who have found themselves managing a treatment center, a therapist, an interventionist and a worried household at once, and want one person to hold it together.
  • People in or after treatment who want a plan for the life that follows, with someone to call when it does not go to plan.
  • Family offices, attorneys and advisors who need a single trusted contact for a family they serve, within the authorization the client gives.

In the plan

How it fits the rest of the plan.

Timing

Private Advisory can begin before treatment, during it, at discharge, or months into a recovery that has stalled. Most families wish they had called earlier.

Who you work with

A Lead Advisor matched for skills and temperament. Where the plan calls for it, they build a small team around the client and remain the one person you call.

Boundaries

Advisory is non-clinical. Advisors do not diagnose, treat or provide therapy. When a plan calls for clinical care, it comes from independent licensed professionals, and the Advisor coordinates with them.

Fees

Private pay, usually arranged as a retainer that tapers as support steps down. No referral fees paid or accepted, and no steering toward any program.

Good to know

Questions families ask.

Is a Lead Advisor the same as a case manager?

Families often arrive looking for a recovery consultant or recovery case management. This is that role, held by one person you can call, without the clinical responsibilities of a treatment program's case manager.

Do you replace the treatment program or the therapist?

No. We work alongside the clinical team the client already has, within the releases the client signs, and refer back to them when something needs clinical attention.

How long does it last?

As long as it is useful. Some families need two intensive weeks around a discharge. Others keep the relationship for a year or more as work, school and family life return.
