About these terms

These terms govern your use of alongside-advisors.com (the "site"), which is owned and operated by Alongside Advisors LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in Delray Beach ("Alongside," "we"). By using the site you agree to them. They cover the website only. The services we provide to clients are governed by a separate written client services agreement, and nothing on the site is an offer to provide services to any particular person.

We are not a treatment provider

Alongside is an advisory and support firm. Advisors are not therapists, counselors, physicians, nurses, attorneys, accountants or investment advisers, and nothing on this site is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. The site describes our services and shares general information about recovery. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, and reading it does not make you a client or create a clinical relationship of any kind.

How an engagement begins

Sending a message through the site, calling or emailing us does not make you a client. An engagement begins only when a written client services agreement is signed by the client (or their authorized representative) and by Alongside. Until then, we have no obligation to provide services, and any information you send is handled under our Privacy Policy.

Information on the site

We try to keep the site accurate and current, and The Brief cites its sources. Even so, the site is provided for general information, "as is," without warranty of any kind. Research summaries are not a substitute for the judgment of a licensed clinician who knows the person involved, and the services, standards and team described on the site may change without notice. Where the site links to other websites, we do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for your own personal or professional information. You may not use it to send unsolicited commercial messages, to attempt to gain access to systems or data that are not intended for you, to interfere with the site's operation, or to submit information about another person without their authorization. Our forms are for people seeking our services or referring someone who is; they are not a channel for vendors.

Ownership of content

The text, design, logo, photographs, downloadable materials and the name "Alongside Advisors" are owned by Alongside Advisors LLC or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may print or download pages and The Brief's checklists for personal, family or professional use, with attribution and without alteration. Any other reproduction or commercial use requires our written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alongside Advisors LLC, its members and its Advisors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on information in it, including indirect, incidental or consequential damages. This limitation applies to the website only. Our responsibilities to clients are set out in the client services agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute concerning the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes

We may revise these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page tells you when they were last changed, and the current version is always at alongside-advisors.com/terms. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
